Special Needs Program

Volunteer in a Special Needs Children Home in Kenya

Join us in a Children’s Home in Kenya where all of the children have special needs. Volunteering here, you will gain amazing life experiences assisting overworked local staff with feeding, changing, playing, and sometimes even cooking for the children. You might even get to feed the cows!

There are currently 48 children living in this dedicated home with various disabilities. Located in a remote area not far from a city centre, you will stay in a volunteer house with fellow volunteers while making a profound, personal impact.

Our goal

Our goal for our special needs children’s home program is to help these children and give them hope and the knowledge that they are genuinely loved and valued.

The staff working in this home are very overworked and need your extra hands with cooking, cleaning, feeding, and helping move children in and around the home.

Attention given to special needs children offers warmth, security, and care that isn’t always fully met due to staffing shortages.

Gain valuable experience volunteering with special needs children

“My favorite part of volunteering was spending time with the special needs children. We helped prepare food and fed those who needed assistance. We danced with children who were blind, and children who were confined to wheelchairs.”
