Animal Care & Rescue
Spend your time in Kenya at the KSPCA, helping rescued animals
If you are an animal lover and want to help them by being hands-on, then this is the program for you! You will be working alongside local Kenyans at the KSPCA treating a wide range of animals including kittens, cats, dogs, puppies, donkeys, and horses.
As these animals are rescued from the streets, they can benefit immensely from your gentle care and daily attention while receiving humane veterinary services and shelter.
Who can join
- ✓Must love animals and have a passion for animal care
- ✓Be willing to be around animals rescued directly from the street
- ✓Be prepared to commit to volunteering for a minimum of 2 weeks
- ✓Be able to work independently or with local staff supervision
Our goal
Our goal for this program is to have you assist in the daily routines of certified Veterinarians at the KSPCA who require help and welcome your assistance.
By assisting with rescues and treatment, volunteers help provide humane veterinary services and safer communities for both humans and street animals.
Animals deserve to be cared for just as humans do. Your gentle care makes a direct impact on their recovery.

A typical day
A volunteer’s work day on this project generally lasts between 4 and 6 hours. While we ask all volunteers to be flexible, a typical daily schedule looks like this:
