Summary
By giving them a safe, secure environment they will be able to transition from street life to a healthy stable life living at Scotty’s and then on their own when they are able to live on their own!
Challenge
There are currently up to 60,000 children living on the street in Nairobi, according to the consortium of street children (CSC) Kenya. These children are living life on streets due to death, poverty and neglect, they are facing possible jail, starvation, health problems, and beatings daily along with being at a very high risk for exploitation. This project will affectively help to get 100 street children off the streets of Nairobi every year.
Solution
Because ALL Children Matter is working closely with local partners to provide, shelter, food and education to these children. We will bring at risk children, women and their babies off the street to a safe place where they will receive essential care and education. By giving them meals, water, education and shelter this will enable them to get back to a healthy physical and mental state.
Long-Term Impact
The project will help give education and safety to children living on the streets in Kenya. The purchase of land will allow this project to be self sustainable, by farming and having chickens and goats.
